Privacy & how we use your chats
Last updated: June 2026
heyolive helps you build and edit your website by talking to an AI assistant. This page explains, in plain language, what we keep and why.
The short version: please don't type personal or sensitive information (passwords, payment card numbers, social security numbers, health details) into the chat. We save your chats and editor activity so we can make the assistant smarter and fix things that don't work.
What we save
- Your chat messages — what you ask the assistant.
- The assistant's replies — and what it actually did to your site (the changes it made).
- Editor activity — the edits and actions you take in the editor (for example, changing a color or adding a section), so we can see where the tools are confusing or broken.
- Each of these is tied to your site and account so we can help you with your specific site.
Why we save it
- To improve the service. We review chats and activity to find where the assistant didn't do what you expected, then fix it — so it keeps getting better for everyone.
- To support you. If something goes wrong, the history helps us understand and fix it.
- We do not sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Please don't share sensitive info in chat
The chat is for building your website. It is not a secure place for personal or financial details. Don't paste passwords, full card numbers, government ID numbers, or health information. If you need to collect that kind of information from your own customers, use a proper form with the right protections — ask the assistant and it can help set one up.
